Learning Afrikaans

Afrikaans is a language derived primarily from Dutch and spoken now in parts of South Africe and Namibia, although there are speakers of Afrikaans in several other African countries such as: Swaziland, Botswana, Angola, Zambia, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe. There are even groups of Afrikaans speakers in Argentina and the United Kingdom.

Dutch and Afrikaans are mutually intelligible.
