New Synthetic Language – Esata

I’m not quite sure what to think of this idea. I was checking out traffic logs and saw visits from a [new languages] search, so I did a google search for [new languages] and along the with sites I saw a sponsored ad for esata…. Here’s the ad text:

Esata – a new language
a personal international language
close to English close to the world

So, what is it? Well….

Esata is probably best described by it’s creators… the concept though I will try to summarize. They contend that Enlish is the most dominant language on Earth. Because of this dominance there are many that are learning English as a second language with limited proficiency. As a result there are quite a variety of “corrupted forms” of English or vulgar English. (Remember Latin? Vulger Latin in all it’s different variations developed into French, Spanish, etc…)

Well, they want to create a standardized vulgar form of English.

It is an interesting idea, most of the words that they list are very short. These short words can be contracted together to make phrases. Here are some examples:

Words are formed from syllables of consonant plus vowel. The normal English
alphabet is used, but vowels have only one sound, and some consonants have
different sounds (c as ch, x as sh).

Here are some examples of phrases in Esata:

hubiyu who are you?
wobixi where is she?
vayuti what do you think?
bidara is that right?
hobihiko how is he coming?
weyovisa when will I know?
biherelanu Is it running like new?

wixuha tidafoda We should have thought of that
zekubiqi They could be here
yonotavegu I don’t talk very good
feyunosanose If you don’t know, don’t say
wikegotodexa We can go to the shop
mikarelanu My car runs like new.

for the primary list, short forms of English are used. When a word
from another language is more concise, it is usually preferred. Approximately
half of the vocabulary of Esata is from foreign sources, making the language
very international.

So what do you think of the idea?

Brilliant? Or Ridiculous? Somewhere in between?
